Hey, Hi!
Welcome to Truly Soulfully Eats!
I am Vania Cotta and I share indulgent and delicious yet simple and easy-to-make comfort food recipes with this blog truly from my soul hence the name Truly Soulfully Eats.
Feel free to ask me anything:
I began blogging my food journey almost 10 years back, on my 21st birthday. It has been amazingly adventurous ever since. It’s been a journey to celebrate my creations and my recipes. Not forgetting my creativity which I try and bring into every dish prepared by me, be it a cake baked by me or a chicken pulao cooked by me…
4th July 2015- the day Delicious Cravings at Vania’s Kitchen was born! We rebranded to Truly Soulfully Eats in September 2021!
I’ve always enjoyed cooking. I’m very passionate about home cooking. Wow! Amazing! Awesome! Yummy! Delicious! You’re so good at this! – these are some of the things I often hear while observing those happy faces relishing my recipes. The feeling is just surreal.
The main idea I want to put forth through my blog is that: Cooking from scratch can be much easier than once thought.
My blog is an avenue for all those amateur foodies who want to try their hands at cooking a ‘pretty-looking’ home-cooked decent dish. This is a place where all those novice cooks trying to prepare quick bites to add taste to their delicious cravings can find an easier way to achieve that at home with fewer ingredients and an easier process.
The highlights of ‘Truly Soulfully Eats’ are simple and fresh family-friendly home-cooked recipes. However, I try and include some restaurant reviews or specific dishes which grab my attention whether online or in a restaurant or maybe even in the street food plethora. Also, sometimes I like writing elaborate posts about certain food topics or learning the basics of cooking and baking.
My blog also features many home favourite recipes that represent my local Goan and Indian food culture. It is the food from where I belong even though I am currently based in London. Here, you’ll find me cooking up a storm: dishes inspired by favourite restaurants, something out of the box, or just whatever I can lay my hands on at that moment.
I try to pair all my recipes and dishes with spectacular photographs and videos whenever possible and needed. This blog is surely going to be a great food experience for you. I promise.

I love all food, so it’d be hard for me to choose a favourite, but I have a soft spot for beef mince pies, chocolate cakes and cookies, and Portuguese-Goan foods are my delicious cravings. I love cooking for occasions and I enjoy every bit of it. Planning to start my supper club soon.
Given the complexities of the rich, ancient and varied Goan cuisine, food has always been a prominent marker of the Goan identity. I am a Goan and you’ll find my take on Goan cuisine through this blog.
Thanks for dropping by, I hope you’ll stick around on this journey with me…
Let’s happily COOK, BAKE and ENJOY!!!
Much love xx
